This splendid English violin with expressive playing marks is one of Joseph Bierley's rare works and was made in Birmingham in 1930. He created fine violins with great passion and exquisite detail, investing considerable amounts of time, patience and consideration as he developed high-quality varnishes. The fruits of his labour are clearly evident in the refined instruments which he produced throughout his life: they mirror not only his talents as a luthier but also the sophisticated demands of an experienced musician. This beautiful violin also communicates his flawless artisanal abilities and his quality standards, one manifestation of which is the excellent tone woods he chose. The top is made of spruce, whereas the one-piece maple back features exceptionally attractive mild flames. The work of a mature and experienced hand can be seen in the clean carving of the sound holes, the scroll and the peg box. Charming shimmering and radiance of the luminous oil varnish effectively accentuates the instrument's inimitable personality. Its marvellous sound is full of character, mature clarity and radiance as well as a precise response. After having been set up completely by the restoration experts at our atelier, this fine English violin is now ready to play, and we heartily recommend this violin. It is full of character, an instrument for demanding musicians, as aesthetically lovely as it is wonderful and unique in sound. Like all our violins, free shipping with 30-day return policy, optional certificate and unlimited trade-in/exchange guarantee.
