The sound of this beautiful antique French master violin is mature and radiant: a product of fine craftsmanship with a dealer's label from the renowned house of Gand & Bernardel, made by a Mirecourt master craftsman in the mid-19th century who worked according to a typically early French-oriented narrow Parisian model, with a medium-high arching and strikingly accentuated edges. The two-piece maple back with its soft flaming and the two-piece top made of medium to wide grained spruce under a shining golden-brown varnish are striking quality features of this harmoniously designed master violin. The violin has a neck graft and a small repair to the upper right edge, but is otherwise crack-free and in excellent condition. It has been completely and painstakingly restored and set up by our violin maker. Like all our instruments, we offer this old French master violin in good, ready-to-play condition. With 30 days returns, free worldwide shipping and Corilon's unlimited trade-in guarantee.
