French violin made approx. 1850 in Mirecourt in France. The violin demonstrates the high quality demands better quality French violins from Mirecourt was designed to meet, with fine visual aesthetics and excellent musical properties. The attractive golden-brown varnish with light patina decorates the instrument, that was built after an broad Stradivarius model with beautiful edgework full of individuality. This interesting French violin was made in the 19th century and is preserved undamaged and in best playing condition, after a complete work-over by our violin maker. It features a well-defined, warm, large, full-bodied sound and would be suitable for both classical and traditional players.
