An old quality German violin. The violin was made around 1930 in the renowned Markneukirchen region of violin making in Germany. The top is made of fine grained spruce, the two piece back of narrow flamed maple. The ribs are similar flamed. The varnish is a spirit-oil varnish of a warm orange-brown color, the surface slightly textured. The scroll and the soundholes are accurately cut. This beautiful instrument is a thoroughly handmade high quality piece. The powerful sound is clear with carrying power, dominating, voluminous and full-bodied with a crunchy projection. The tonal character is clear and medium-dark. The violin projects easily and is very convenient to play. Comes with a certificate of value by Anton Sprenger, Mittenwald.
