Antique German violin, made around 1920. The violin was likely made in the renowned workshops of the Schuster & Co. company in Markneukirchen, Saxony. It is a good example of the quality that affordable violins by Schuster & Co. have always been famous for. This unlabeled violin is typical Markneukirchen piece of work and well crafted, with a clearly defined, flat arching, cleanly cut soundholes with characteristical shape, and with a highly appealing varnish of a beautiful luminous light-brown color. Some varnish flaws and visible signs from playing have no impact on the good sound qualities of this good Markneukirchen violin: Our violin makers meticulously worked this undamaged antique violin over and made it ready to play -  its convincing sound is bright, clear, rich in in overtones and radiance.
