Italian violin by Stefano Caponetti made in Catania in Sicily (Italy) in the early 20th century around 1920. An Italian violin of simple elegance and with a great sound that was made in the ateliers of "Liuteria Stefano Caponetto", bearing the original label, dating to circa 1920. This Sicilian violin by Stefano Caponetto features a typical scroll, and specially selected tonewoods - top and back plates of two piece Sicilian wood which is softer in structure than the commonly used Alpine woods. The varnish was applied in an economical way, is an attractive intensely colored light-brown spirit-oil varnish. This afforable Italian violin is offered undamaged, and after having been worked over by our specialistst in excellent condition, her sound bright, clear and open with the desirable Italian character.
