French violin from Mirecourt with a powerful, assertive sound

The fascinating large violin model of the classical Italian maestro Giovanni Paolo Maggini was copied by many craftsmen in the past 400 years, due to the beauty of the double purfling and the reduced winding of the scroll. The French "Maggini" violin offered here is one of these instruments; it was built approx. 1910, most probably in the Laberte. workshops in Mirecourt and features their quality style that expresses his inimitable personality. The delicate ff-holes were finely cut in an oblique position, and the orange-brown varnish indicates the French provenance of the violin tastefully. Of course the most important feature of this violin is its excellent response and the exceptionally good sound, that is large, clear and warm, precise, radiant and full of character - a highly recommended instrument by our professional violinist that is offered with undamaged and crackfree in very good condition that was worked over thoroughly by our expert luthiers and is offered ready to play.
