A fine master violin by Eugen Wahl (*1877). The instrument was made in Karlsruhe in 1937. The violin is originally labelled. This instrument is characterized by an elegant model, especially fine wood selection and a rich and intensely colored oil varnish. The top is made of regular medium grained spruce, the two piece back of flamed maple. The varnish is of a dark red-orange color with some wear from playing. The violin is in perfect condition and despite two minor saddle repairs under 1cm length undamaged and crackfree. The strong carrying sound is bright, brilliant and clear, powerful, and rich in overtones.
