Interesting 18th century master violin with slightly shorter measures (neck - body stop 12.8 cm - 19.2 cm), a highly interesting instrument for professional musicians, that was crafted around 1780 and shows influences of the Josef Klotz Mittenwald school. The beautiful and highly patinated light-brown varnish bears meaningful traces of use at the top and the ribs. These signs from playing underline that this master violin was a pleasure to play for its former owners, just as the overall excellent condition with a crack-free top and back a small and skillfully executed repair to the rib that has no impact on the violin's sound properties. The violin is otherwise crackfree and was completely worked over by our experienced expert restorer and is offered ready to express its large and warm sound, warm, nuanced, radiant and somewhat sweet in the upper ranges. The price includes a certificate from W. D. Fischer, Munich. Like all our string instruments, it is delivered free of shipping costs, with a 30-day right of return and an optional Corilon certificate.
