This exceptional quality Wolff bros violin was crafted in the late 19th century in the renowned workshops of Wolff brothers in Bad Kreuznach. The instrument built after the classical model of Antonio Stradivari bears the original Wolff brothers label, which is dated. The tonewoods are well-chosen, with beautiful grain that demonstrates their excellent quality. The regular grained spruce of the top features medium grain, the maple of the two-piece back is strongly flamed. Attractive antiqueings underline the individual appearance of the red-orange colored varnish that was applied over a golden-yellow ground. Our luthiers have meticulously worked over this recommenbale Wolff brothers violin and made it ready to play; its convincing, powerful voice unfolds to a warm and clear, resonant voice, that is notably powerful and open, with an excellent response. This violin deserves our special recommendation.
