A nice antique Bohemian violin built around 1900 as a very appealing and tonally successful Stradivari copy. The violin is an expressive and accurate handmade piece, probably a masterpiece made in Bohemia. The top is made of beautiful regular spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. The patinated varnish is a beautiful light brown varnish over a lighter ground. This lovely Bohemian Stradivarius interpretation is well preserved and, like all violins and bows in our catalog, has been refurbished in our luthier's workshop and is ready to play. The sound is matured, clear, mellow and sweet in the upper ranges, powerful and direct.
