Modern French violin made in the atelier of J.-J. Pages, Mirecourt
This contemporary French violin was handmade in 2000 in the traditional luthier village Mirecourt in Lorraine, in the workshop of Jean-Jacques Pages. It bears a Nicolas Mansuy trademark label. Beautiful tonewoods of best quality were used to build this instrument: The ribs are mildly flamed, the two piece maple back features especially beautiful gently flowing flames. The delicate purfling shows great attention to the detail. The transparent varnish shines in light orange-brown tones, some signs from playing and marks are the only flaws. This beautiful French violin is offered crackfree and after a meticulous workover by our luthiers in perfect playing condition ready to unfold her mature, clear tone, whcih is rich in overtones and carrying.
