This interesting anzique Czech master violin with a Giovanni Dollenz label was made around 1850 by an unknown hand and features a tone of outstanding quality in the price range. A richly applied new varnish of a transparent yet luminous and intense orange-brown color covers ancient tone woods of excellent sound quality. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly attractive, mildly flamed maple. This old master violin is offered with some acceptable restoration to the ribs with a new varnish but no significant cracks at a reduced price - checked and controlled by the violin makers at Corilon. This interesting violin has a great tone and is offered in perfect condition, ready to play.
