Salvatore Valentinetti (b. 1927) from Ortona is an internationally renowned violin maker and restorer. This Italian violin made in 1998 by this dedicated Stradivarius connoisseur is patterned after a model of the great Cremonese master, and the violin's well-developed musical qualities will win you over. This violin is very responsive, and its sound is bright, open and resonant, full of substance and character. The top-quality and carefully selected tone woods of this good Italian violin are protected by a soft, intensely reddish-orange oil varnish against a yellow background. The large, conspicuous scroll is blackened around the edges and gives this remarkable violin individuality. It is an original Italian violin with a signed and dated original label as well as several brand marks on the back and upper block – in perfect condition and ready to play. The price includes a certificate by Carlo Carfagna, Rome.
