Markneukirchen violin. By Max & Ernst Fischer, 1945

This attractive Markneukirchen violin was built by Max & Ernst Fischer in 1945 after modern violin standards, following the best craftsman tradition of the Markneukirchen region. Selected tonewoods of premium quality were covered by a richly applied oil varnish of a red-brown color, with meaningful traces from playing in the high positions it is very well preserved. The attractive, dark red colored oil varnish emphasizes the beauty of the medium grained spruce top and the attractive two-piece violin back of flamed maple. This quality handmade German Markneukirchen violin by Max & Ernst Fischer is preserved in good condition, no cracks, and after having been worked over in our atelier and offered ready to play. It is a very responsive instrument, pleasing as well with its large, warm sound that is of good strength and somewhat sweet in the higher ranges.
