This 3/4 French cello bow is a typical piece from Mirecourt, built approx. 1980. The round stick of light brown pernambuco wood is well-balanced and of good strength, with very well distributed diameter which clearly is the work of an experienced craftsman. The ebony frog is nickel mounted and decorated by a mother-of-pearl eye and a white shimmering mother-of-pearl-slide. The felt balance point of this 64.2 cm 3/4 cello bow is centered, slightly shifted towards the frog, and measured at 21.4 cm. This French 3/4 cello bow has all the sought-after features of French bows: excellent activity in playing, without being too „nervous“, precise response and a clear, distinct sound. Recommended!
