Older German W. Seifert violin bow, approx. 1970/1980

This useful and recommendable older W. Seifert violin bow is a very good handmade piece of work by the Seifert family workshop made around 1970/1980 in Bubenreuth. The octagonal stick is made of good, dark-brown pernambuco wood and is of medium strength. The ebony frog is nickel mounted with a Pearl eye and golden-green-rose shimmering pearl slide. Like all Corilon instruments and bows, this undamaged W. Seifert violin bow has been worked over and is offered with new hair, leather and silver winding. The length is 73.9 cm, the balance point is in the upper half of the stick and measured at 26.0 cm from the frog end. This Seifert violin bow is a good working bow that feels very convenient in the hand and plays nicely, forgiving mistakes and produces a powerful, warm, rounded sound.
