Fine cello bow -probably English, lightweight, for virtuoso performance

This fine antique cello bow is dynamic and yet easily controlled, making it ideal for nuanced interpretations of virtuoso literature in a way that only very few bows of this price segment permit. Crafted around 1920 in an English atelier, it has an octagonal stick of premium dark brown pernambuco, and the elegantly shaped lines of the head show the flawless work of a confident and experienced bow maker. It is a work of traditional artisanry which has the high-quality fittings it deserves: a silver-mounted ebony frog with a mother-of-pearl eye and a three-piece button. The balance point of the perfectly balanced bow lies at 26.7 cm of its total length of 71.6 cm (including the button). After having been carefully set up at our specialist atelier, the cello bow is now ready to play; it has been kept in prime condition, and a small repair was made at the frog which has no musical relevance whatsoever. We especially recommend it for sophisticated cellists who will appreciate the open character of its bright, clear and refined sound.
