Acoulon & Blondelet, old French violin, 1920's

This elegant old French violin "Sarasate Artiste" is an instrument with unmistakeable, nonstandard character. It bears the makers label by "Acoulon & Blondelet" as well as an Amati model label, and a branstamp on the back. Its transparent, golden-brown varnish with antiqueings bears hardly any traces of use, and decorates the deeply flamed maple of the two-piece back. The scroll and pegbox are crafted with very individual style and determine the appearance of this Acoulon & Blondelet violin, that is undamaged and well preserved. Our luthiers worked over the instrument completely and made it ready to play. It unfolds its bright, brilliant, ringing sound, that is well-balanced across all strings, rich in overtones, that we recommend especially to male players having a rich, powerful play.
