Carbon viola bow, R.V. Benningsen

This silver mounted carbon fibre viola bow is a quality piece from approx. 1995, stamped R.V. Benningsen on shaft. The strong round stick of this bow is made of red-brown colored carbon fibre and features convincing stiffness and elasticity. The measured balance point is at 27.0 cm of 73.9 cm total length and is sensed in the upper half of the bow. The total weight is 72.2 g. The silver mounting, a small Parisian eye that is made of yellow shimmering mother-of-pearl just as the slide, and a three-part adjuster decorate this excellent playing bow. We offer this interesting work in best condition, ready to play and with a special recommendation for its good playing properties and the large, clear and strong sound it produces.
