1/2 - old French violin by Médio Fino

A beautiful antique french Médio Fino 1/2 violin. The violin is a small 1/2 size with a bodylength of 30,0 cm. Médio Fino is a trademark of the firm of Jerôme Thibouville-Lamy (J.T.L.). The one piece top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of plain maple. The purfling is typically scratched. A fine bridge, soundpost, Wittner Germany tailpiece with four fine tuners and a set of Pirastro strings are new. The violin is despite a minor saddle repair on top undamaged and in immediate playing condition.. Médio Fino violins are very much sought after for their very good sound. Small sized Médio Fino instruments are relatively rare.
