Old English viola from the 1920'ies

An old English viola. The viola was made early in the 20th century, around 1920, in England. The slim elegant model is in the Italian style with relatively flat archings. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of fine and narrow flamed maple. The varnish is of a golden brown color with some antiqueings. The instrument is perfectly preserved and crackfree. The viola has been professionally set up and adjusted and is in immediate playing condition. Bridge, soundpost and a set of Dominant strings are new. The sound is warm, open and a bit brighter in the upper registers, generally even, of good power and good volume. Special recommendation!
