1/2 - antique French 1/2 violin with a strong tone

Coming as a trade-in from a very happy young customer who upgraded to the next size, this gorgeous French 1/2 violin with a strong sound is an elegant Mirecourt piece of work, handmade around 1930. The length of back is 30.8 cm. The varnish is a spirit varnish of a dark orange-brown color over a brighter ground. Even though this children's violin is more than eighty years old, it has been well taken care of and the varnish shows only minor signs of use and slight patination. The large, elegant scroll is especially attractive. Like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, this undamaged 1/2 violin has been carefully worked over and set up by the luthiers in our atelier and can be played immediately. The sound is bright, clear and powerful - special recommendation!
