Excellent French violin, Caussin school

This French violin of the Caussin school has a truly exceptional sound, it was built in the second half of the 19th century in France. It is an extraordinary beautiful old stringed instrument with an undecipherable handwritten label. The skillfully crafted table resembles typical Caussin styles; the deeply flamed maple of the back and the quality medium grained spruce of the top are the choice of an experienced violin maker, who applied a luminous golden-brown varnish with expertly made antique touches. This interesting antique French violin is offered with minor repairs in good condition, ready to play after a complete work-over by our violin makers, unfolding its warm, mature and dark sound, that is strong and warm, but also precise, clear and voluminous. Special recommendation.
