Recommendable Czech viola, 1920's, made in the Italian style
This unlabeled Czech viola was built in the 1920's. It is a piece of unmistakeable individuality, that was crafted in the Italian style. The soundholes and the purfling are tastefully executed and examples of quality craftsmanship; the small, expressive scroll is an elegant work full of character. Richly applied oil varnish, luminous, patinated and of beautiful, orange-brown color covers the excellently selected tonewoods. Our luthier thoroughly worked over and set up this undamaged Czech viola, so we can offer it in perfect condition and immediately ready to play. We recommend its warm, precise sound, that is quite responsive and well-balanced, with a bright character and beautiful resonance.
