7/8 - good Bohemian 7/8 violin

The violin is a good sounding old Bohemian 7/8 violin. The length of back is 35,0 cm. The instrument was handmade around the turn of the century c1900 in the Saxon/Bohemian center of violin making. The Stradivarius label indicates the model. The top is made of wide grained spruce, the back of mildly flamed maple. Top and back plates are of one piece. The golden brown oily varnish with heavy wear and patination. The violin has been checked and is luthier-set up with a new bridge, soundpost and strings. The violin is in immediate playing condition. Its warm beguiling sound is of good power and strength. The violin is convenient to play and has nicely even and well-balanced sound. Special recommendation!
