Antique French 3/4 violin with a strong tone - J.T.L.

Coming as a trade-in from a very happy young customer who upgraded to the next size, this gorgeous French 3/4 violin with a strong sound is an elegant Mirecourt piece of work, handmade around 1910 in teh J. T. L. Ateliers in Mirecourt. The length of back is 33.5 cm. The varnish is a spirit varnish of a light golden-brown color over a brighter ground. Even though this children's violin is more than eighty years old, it has been well taken care of and besides a darker spot on to, the varnish shows only minor signs of use and slight patination. The large, elegant scroll is full of character. Like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, this undamaged 3/4 violin has been carefully worked over and set up by the luthiers in our atelier and can be played immediately. The sound is bright, clear and powerful - special recommendation!
