Antique French 1/2 violin from Mirecourt

This attractive French 1/2 violin was crafted approx. 1900 in Mirecourt; it is a very beautiful instrument, that was built on a Ruggeri model. The elegant shape and the well-crafted, fluted arching indicate this 1/2 violin as a better quality work made in Mirecourt. Slightly accentuated edges and the distinctive blackened scroll, that was designed in a typical French style, are exceptionally nice, as well as the antiqued, orange-brown varnish that covers the instrument. The well-kept 1/2 violin is offered undamaged and crackfree in good condition, with only some varnish flaws on the back, and it was worked over by our violin makers, who made it ready to play. Its voice is of recommendable warmth and character.
