Modern contemporary viola, professional provenance

A large contemporary viola from the 1970ies. The instrument bears a label of the atelier Roman Weidenfäller, Regensburg. This good contemporary viola could have been made there, but it is also possible that the viola has been re-labeled or was just sold by Weidenfäller (labeling unfinished instruments with one's own labels has ever been a standard practice used by many makers and ateliers). The viola is in any case a very good sounding instrument in undamaged, crackfree condition, suitable for advanced players and university students. Its huge sound is clear and round, well balanced and with excellent volume on all strings - this good contemporary viola has been played by a young viola student.

The "Violas" section features our attractive selection of other contemporary violas with audio sound samples.
