Old Markneukirchen violin from Schuster & Co., 1942

Dating back to 1942, this old Markneukirchen violin was crafted in the highly successful ateliers of Schuster & Co. in Markneukirchen. It is a solid instrument patterned after a Stradivari model, bearing the original dated Schuster & Co. label. The craftsman behind this instrument was a talented artisan who paid attention to detail: the elegantly shaped sound holes radiate a unique character, and the delicate purfling was clearly done by an experienced hand. A transparent and luminously beautiful orange-brown varnish with meaningful traces from intensive playing play up the flaming on the two-piece maple back. This instrument, which has been kept in very good condition and is ready to play, will win you over for multiple reasons, most notably because of its outstanding, powerful sound with its bright, clear and pleasant warmth.
