Contemporary Italian violin, Cremona, 1990's (certificate M. Mazzotti)

This modern Italian violin from the home of violin making was built approx. 25 years ago in the famous town of Cremona, most probably in the workshop of Daniele Scolari. An instrument full of character, it features typical Italian character that is eye-catchingly expressed by the beautiful asymmetric grain of the two-piece back. The scroll was carved with educated aesthetic sense, completed by a shining, orange-red colored Cremonese varnish. Two well visible repairs of the top that have no impact on the sound or stability whatosever allow us to offer this true Italian violin at a reduced price. The instrument has been reviewed by our experienced luthiers and is offered, after a complete workover, ready to play, with an unmistakable Italian sound that is both bright and warm. A certificate of authenticity issued by Matteo Mazotti, Piazenza/Cremona is included in the price.
