This instrument is a modern Italian master violin from the second half of the 20th century, made by Roberto Zeliani in Cremona in 1972, following a beautiful and typical Cremonese Stradivarius model. The tonewoods are of very good quality and well selected: the top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of wonderfully flamed maple, with rich oil varnish of a bright golden-yellow color, appearing very transparent yet milky. The mighty scroll is gracefully cut and elegant. Despite a repair to the center seam covered by the tailpiece the violin is crackfree and in perfect condition, luthier-checked and fully set up to full playing condition. Its rich and complex colorful sound is mellow with a typical Italian character. Special recommendation!
