Italian violin, Primo Contavalli, 1973 (certificate Benjamin Schröder)

This Italian master violin by Primo Contavalli is a young instrument which will satisfy the demands of soloists and professional musicians. It was made in 1973 and features Primo Contavalli's brand mark and the original dated label. Primo Contavalli was awarded several prices and received important international acknowledgements, among which a silver medal in 1920. Primo Contavalli has a solid reputation amongst contemparary musicians, and the bright, large, resonant sound of this violin with its many overtones serves as further confirmation of his skill. Patterned after a model by Guarneri, this Primo Contavalli violin has a compellingly large and resonant voice which gives musicians broad options for interpretation. The visual aesthetic of this fine Italian master instrument also demonstrates the quality with which it was crafted, the expressively carved scroll and premium tone woods, complemented by a rich layer of golden-brown oil varnish with expert antiqueings. This violin by Primo Contavalli has been extensively worked over by our experts in order to achieve optimum tonal chalities and is offered undamaged, in perfect condition. The price includes a certificate of authenticity by Frankfurt expert Benjamin Schröder. This commissioned violin is excluded from the trade-guarantee.
