Antique 19th century Bohemian violin

A beautiful antique Bohemian violin of the early 19th century. The violin is a handmade antique instrument that was made around 1820, most likely in Bohemia. The two piece top is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back of mildly flamed maple. The ribs are unflamed. The patinated varnish is of a warm brown color over a lighter ground. The violin is crackfree and set up with a new bridge, soundpost and Pirastro strings - it is in full playing condition. The interesting sound is sclear, dark and silvery, sweet in the upper ranges.
