The Maximilian Street 10 in Munich is the first adress for someone seeking something special. The renowned workshop Kunstgeigenbau Reidelbach was situated in Munich, and almost 40 years ago this masterly crafted artistic violin was handmade with passion in the Reidelbach workshop. The violin is designed as a copy of the Italian master Guarneri del Gesu. Only the finest tonewoods of premium quality were used for the top and the two-piece back, the top being made of special, irregular grained spruce as it was used by Del Gesu. The instrument is beautifully varnished with a dark and warm red toned oil varnish applied over a golden ground. The prominent scroll is accurately worked out, the violins state of preservation is excellent. The instrument sounds dark and powerful, huge and mature, very responsive and with potential to suit the demanding player.
