English or Saxon cello with bright, matured sound, approx. 1850

With its bright, clear and matured voice of good strength, this interesting 19th century cello is a mature instrument that can be warmly recommend for musicians who place a priority on a colorful, well-balanced sound. The antique cellowith a flat arch was crafted in the 1850s in England, or Saxony, and its attractive corners and purfling and the interesting figure of the maple back indicate the hand of an experienced violin maker who worked with inspiration. Subtle antiquing on the transparent golden-brown varnish shapes the aesthetic of this beautiful antique cello, which made its way to us with just one minor repair to the rib in excellent condition. Like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins it has been set up completely by our luthiers and is offered ready to play. Its bright, clear voice is full of power, making it especially appealing for advanced players.
