A fine H.R. Pfretzschner cello bow made for serious musicians and professionals, this rare masterpiece was made by H.R. Pfretzschner around 1910 /1920 in Markneukirchen and is a special occasion.

The fine and strong round stick is made of premium quality light-brown pernambuco wood, it bears a faded H.R. Pfretzschner stamp on shaft. The frog, also a Markneukirchen piece of work, is probably a later addition and allows us to offer this fine and excellent Pfretzschner cello bow at a reduced price. The stick features excellent strength, high tension and activity and immediate response and is warmly recommended. The weight is 76.4 g, the length 71.2 cm including the adjuster. This rare H.R. Pfretzschner cello bow is perfectly balanced and has its felt balance point in the middle, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick and measured at 24.8 cm from the frog end. Without any damage or repairs and with wear from extensive playing to the stick in good condition, this rare Pfretzschner cello bow produces a warm, strong round threedimensional mature tone of very good power and clarity suitable for professionals and demanding musicians.
