A German cello bow with fine fittings, a high-quality piece crafted by Rudolf Riedl of Bubenreuth, built around 1980. Rudolf Riedl is believed to be a direct descendant of Alfons Riedl, who, after World War II, came to Franconia as a displaced person from Schönbach in Bohemia and continued the traditions of his family, which had already produced numerous instrument makers. The octagonal stick, crafted from fine pernambuco wood, offers medium tension and is forgiving to play. The center of gravity is felt in the center of the hand and is very well balanced near the lower half. With its silver-mounted tortoiseshell frog, a Parisian eye, and a three-piece foot, this modern Bubenreuth cello bow is exquisitely finished and has been preserved in pristine condition. We offer it in playing condition and recommend it as a versatile cello bow that produces a bright, warm tone and is easy to control. Shipped free of charge, with a 30-day return policy. Includes a CITES certificate.
