French 1/2 violin bow, approx. 1900

This rare French 1/2 sized violin bow was made approx. 1900 in the famous violin making town Mirecourt, most presumably in the renowned workshops of JTL or Laberte. The strong, round stick was crafted of brazil wood and set up with an elegant, nickel mounted ebony frog, that is decorated by the typical Pearl eye. The total weight of this French 1/2 sized violin bow is 44.5 g, with a sensed balance-point centered. The total length of the stick is 63.4 cm including the adjuster.
