The instrument is an old French 3/4 violin made in Mirecourt, France, around 1920. The violin was most likely made in the ateliers of Laberte. The label is the typical "Bergonzi" label used to indicate the model. The violin was obviously well kept - the instrument is preserved in excellent condition with minor signs from playing. The color is a bright golden yellow, very intense, the beautiful varnish with a glossy shine. The violin is crackfree and preserved in perfect condition. The violin has been worked over in our atelier and is offered ready to play. The violins lovely sound is warm, bright and somewhat mellow.
