This French 3/4 violin was built approx. 1910 by H. Blaise in the violin making town of Mirecourt and bears his hand-written label. Blaise chose good tonewoods from his region, that are beautifully visible under the intensively orange-red colored varnish. The top was made with soft fluting of regularly grained spruce, the two-piece back of interestingly flamed maple from the Vosges mountains. The small, delicate scroll tastefully completes the attractive character of the violin. The violin is crack-free and was set up ready to play by our luthier; it expresses its dark, warm voice, that is mature and adult, clear and with good resonance.
