This 3/4 violin made in the ateliers of J. Altrichter is our special recommendation for advanced players, who will love the mature and "adult" sound of this instrument, its beautiful resonance with some dark character and good volume in the lower ranges. The violin was built in 1908, a very appealing instrument that was carefully handcrafted from selected premium tonewoods. The medium grained spruce of the top and the deeply flamed maple back are visible under the golden brown varnish. A disctinctive, well-crafted scroll, rounded edges and fine, accurate purfling are good references for the flawless skills and the the educated aesthetic sense of the maker. We are offering this violin with very few traces of use, worked over in our atelier and in a perfectly preserved condition which is quite unusual for old quality violins.
