This French 1/4 violin of nice quality comes with indicated purfling very likely as a "Medio-Fino" violin from the renowned J.T.L. workshops of Mirecourt, in glossy red-brown varnish. It was built around 1900 and is well preserved with no significant damage, with some minor and major marks that a children's instrument that is played willingly and often necessarily "acquires". This antique French 1/4 violin is preserved  undamaged, has been completely overhauled by our luthier and fitted with a new bridge, soundpost, Pirastro strings and tailpiece with four fine tuners. Warm, mellow and open is the bright sound of this rare antique 1/4 violin, balanced across the strings and of beautiful resonance.
