3/4 violin from Markneukirchen, 1920's. Clear strong tone

This old German 3/4 violin was crafted approx. 1920 in an unknown workshop in Markneukirchen/Saxony, after the traditional patterns of Antonio Stradivari. This attractive 3/4 violin fatures a top and the back that show the typical, medium high arching with soft flutings. Medium grained spruce was chosen for the top, a charming contrast with the tender purfling. The 3/4 violin scroll is nicely carved and expresses an unmistakable style. This old German 3/4 violin was crafted approx. 1920 in an unknown workshop in Markneukirchen/Saxony, after the traditional patterns of Antonio Stradivari. This attractive 3/4 violin fatures a top and the back that show the typical, medium high arching with soft flutings. Medium grained spruce was chosen for the top, a charming contrast with the tender purfling. The 3/4 violin scroll is nicely carved and expresses an unmistakable style. Golden-brown varnish and antiqueings were applied over a light ground that is typical for this region of violin making. Some minor signs from playing underline the antique appearance of this old Markneukirchen 3/4 violin, and introduce a quality old German 3/4 violin with a very good, strong sound that was always a pleasure to play. This old 3/4 violin is well preserved after almost 100 years. Its recommendably strong sound is large and rich in volume, with a warm but rather bright character, worked over completely in our workshop and is offered in immediate playing condition.
