Oil varnished German violin, this exceptionally beautiful Markneukirchen instrument was hand-made around 1940 in Saxony from carefully selected premium quality tonewoods. The two-piece back and ribs are deeply flamed, emphasized by the rich and luminous red-brown oil varnish. Craquellation and some traces of use introduce an indeed very good sounding German violin that was well taken care of. This recommendable and high quality old Markneukirchen violin is in very good and crackfree condition, and like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, it was completely worked over and set up by our luthiers and is immediately ready to play. Its warm, bright voice is beautiful and rich in overtones, with some sweetness in the upper ranges.
