The viol bow (65.2 cm) was made of beautifully structured dark-brown pernambuco wood, with a round stick that is strong but features excellent elasticity and is suitable for a fluid play due to its distinct resilience. The viol bow bears the original stamp of H. R. Pfretzschner, a name with a long tradition in Markneukirchen in Saxony. The viola da gamba bow offered here is preserved in perfect condition, ready to play. The bow features a convincingly clear sound, that is warm and bright, and has its balance-point in the upper half at a total length of 65.2 cm.
