This French viola bow, an excellent French J. P. Gerard viola bow at an affordable price, was probably made by Ary France in Mirecourt. The viola bow is a very good quality and very handy French piece of work made around 1980. The villa bow's round stick of good strength is stamped J. P. Gerard on shaft. The bow stick is of very good tension and elasticity and plays notably strong and active at useful strength producing a clear, strong, French tone.
