This excellent, strong and active Lothar Seifert viola bow was made in Germany around 1980. The strong, octagonal stick features a rare combination of stiffness, strength, tension and elasticity, it is made of red-brown pernambuco wood of premium quality. The distinctive head and the silver mounted ebony frog which are finely carved. The weight of this excellent player is 72.3 g, which is well balanced allowing strong, active play - its length is 74.9 cm. This fine quality Lothar Seifert viola bow has its balance point nearly centered, measured at 26.0 cm. It is offered in very good undamaged condition, with new hair and leather and is offered ready to play. It is a universal bow that produces a strong, clear, large, bright sound and which is highly recommended.
