Featuring excellent tonal properties, this beautiful modern English viola no. 28 was built by John Mather in Harrogate in 1992. It is a conveniently sized viola of unmistakeable individuality, that was crafted with utmost care down to the finest detail. The soundholes and the purfling are tastefully executed and examples of best quality craftsmanship; the large scroll is an elegant work full of character. Richly applied and slightly craquelled oil varnish of beautiful, orange-brown color covers the excellently selected tonewoods. We offer this good viola in perfect condition and immediately ready to play. We recommend its bright, clear, radiant sound, that is well-balanced, with a brilliant character and features strong resonance.
