Cremona viola by Maurizio Bissolotti, with a mature, big sound, precise and strong, warm, balanced, and very powerful—an expressive Italian viola for professional musicians and a solid investment.
Maurizio Bissolotti (born 1956) is the son, student, and long-time collaborator of the famous Francesco Bissolotti and belongs to the inner circle of the new violin-making tradition of Cremona. Like his father, he consistently refrains from participating in competitions and devotes all his creative energy to building the finest string instruments – which, in the hands of outstanding musicians, establish his excellent reputation.
The individual character of this Maurizio Bissolotti viola is immediately apparent in the dark reddish-brown varnish, which adorns the fine spruce of the top and the finely flamed maple of the one-piece back, crafted with the utmost sensitivity, with a delicate craquelure. The confident scroll, carved with a mature sense of the finest detail, also represents the high status of this Italian viola, which proves to be a first-class choice for professional soloists with its large, very powerful and perfectly balanced sound, which solidly combines warmth and maturity with the utmost precision. The dated and signed original label by Maurizio Bissolotti and the original certificate document the authenticity of the viola, which was purchased directly from the master by its previous owner. We are selling this fine stringed instrument in ready-to-play condition, inspected by our luthiers, with free worldwide shipping and a special recommendation as a reliable investment with very good prospects.
